With increasing government regulations, strong compliance and ethics programs are essential for employers. Our attorneys partner with employers to assess risk, design, and help implement a compliance program that reduces risk, is practical, and adds value. Programs are tailored to the specific needs, values, objectives, and principles of each client. We provide periodic assessments and additional protocols when needed, as well as training and education.
Plans, however, are only as good as their implementation. Internal investigations are a critical aspect of an effective compliance program and must be handled properly, confidentially, and expeditiously. Our attorneys have handled numerous employee complaint investigations and are skilled in the nuances of an investigation, particularly when litigation appears imminent. In addition to conducting investigations for our clients, we are often hired by other counsel and insurance companies to provide an independent internal investigation.
