Biography
Davis LaBarre is an attorney in the Trial & Appellate Litigation practice group of Jackson Walker’s Houston office. He has appeared for defendants and plaintiffs in general litigation and appellate cases involving a diverse range of disputes, including antitrust, federal securities, qui tam (under both the state and federal False Claims Act), environmental, fraud, and products liability cases.
Davis prides himself on being a trial lawyer. He has a wealth of experience appearing before both federal and state courts. Davis has significant trial experience, including a successful jury verdict and co-leading all pre-trial activities for a multi-million-dollar products liability case. Davis also has experience guiding clients through arbitrations and mediations. As part of his practice, Davis proficiently crafts dispositive motions, discovery motions and requests, and legal memorandums, contributing significantly to the strategic approach of his cases.
While in law school, Davis served as a judicial extern for Chief Administrative Law Judge, Carmen A. Citron, in the Office of Administrative Law Judges at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Davis was also an editorial staff member for the Wake Forest Law Review and an active member of the Energy Bar Association and the Institute for Energy Law.
