Jackson Walker proudly announces the first-time ranking of the Business Immigration & Compliance practice in the Chambers USA Guide released today. In addition, Jackson Walker partners Kelly D. Cobb and Sang M. Shin were recognized among the top attorneys in Texas in this area.
Each year, Chambers and Partners releases its flagship guides that identify leading practitioners and law firms in the United States and around the world through the culmination of thousands of interviews with attorneys and clients conducted by over 200 research analysts.

In addition to the overall department ranking, Chambers listed both Kelly and Sang among the top Texas attorneys in this area in the 2024 guide. This marks the 11th year Kelly was ranked and the first year for Sang.
Kelly Cobb primarily focuses on U.S. corporate immigration law, including applications/petitions for all visa categories and paths to U.S. permanent residence and naturalization. She has more than 20 years of experience counseling clients in the development and implementation of strategic immigration policies and advising U.S. and international clients on immigration issues related to corporate restructuring, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and start-ups. “She knows her clients and is always ready to help,” interviewees told Chambers this year, adding, “Kelly is great to work with.”
Sang M. Shin handles a wide range of visas and petitions, and also provides advanced advice to clients on their internal immigration policies and strategies to ensure that his clients have a balanced workforce. As the leader of the firm’s South Korea practice, Sang also facilitates a seamless entry for international companies into the U.S. market.
