The award recognizes an exemplary Austin-area lawyer who has dedicated a significant portion of their career to federal practice with high standards of professional achievement. It also honors those who exhibit leadership and ethics, mentor younger lawyers, and actively contribute to the legal and broader community.
Founded in 1920, the FBA is committed to advancing the science of jurisprudence and promoting the welfare, interests, education, and professional development of all attorneys engaged in federal law. The FBA fosters communication between the bar and the bench, as well as the private and public sectors.
Jennifer, a partner in the Investigations & White Collar Defense practice of Jackson Walker’s Austin office, is a former federal prosecutor who advises businesses and individuals under investigation by the government and conducts internal investigations for companies seeking an independent party. She also represents clients in civil disputes at the pre-trial, trial, and appellate levels in both state and federal courts. She is an elected Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, a member of the Texas Supreme Court Historical Society’s Board of Trustees, a past chair of the Criminal Law Section of the Federal Bar Association, and a past president of the Federal Bar Association Austin Chapter.​​​​
