Biography
Mallory DeGroat is an attorney in the Real Estate practice of Jackson Walker’s Fort Worth office.
As a summer associate (2022 and 2023) at Jackson Walker, Mallory assisted the real estate practice group on drafting commercial leases and lease amendments, ground leases, estoppel certificates, and documents for real estate purchases and sales.
While attending law school at Texas Tech University, Mallory was a State Bar of Texas Qualified Law Student in the law school’s Civil Practice Clinic, and she was the recipient of the Ann and Robert J. Burbridge Award for the top student in the Clinic. Mallory represented clients in divorces, estate planning, and other pro bono civil matters. Prior to beginning law school, Mallory founded Books That Bind, a non-profit organization aimed to promote child literacy and familial bonding. Books That Bind donated books to Child Protective Courthouses and any children present for a court hearing were able to select a book to keep.
