Biography
Mitchell “Mitch” Murphy is a partner in the Trial & Appellate Litigation practice in Jackson Walker’s Houston office. Mitch is a highly experienced commercial litigator specializing in the oil, gas, and natural resources sector. With over twenty years of experience, he provides strategic counsel and dispute resolution services for pipeline and utility companies, oilfield service providers, and upstream oil and gas producers.
Mitch assists clients in securing land and property rights for capital and field engineering projects, streamlining the acquisition process, prioritizing reporting systems, and navigating the complexities of eminent domain. Mitch also litigates energy and real property disputes, including title, surface damage, and encroachment cases. Additionally, Mitch offers comprehensive legal support for oilfield service providers, including master service agreements, insurance and indemnities, liens, collections, and litigation.
