In EB5 Investors Magazine’s list of the Top EB-5 Professionals of 2024, Christian A. Triantaphyllis was named among the “Top 25 Immigration Attorneys” for a seventh consecutive year, and Catharine Yen earned recognition as one of the “Top 10 Rising Stars.”

The annual list serves as a resource for investors and developers seeking counsel or professional services. Each year, candidates are selected through a community-wide nomination and voting process, combined with editorial input. Ultimately, honorees are chosen based on their industry experience, track record, and reputation within the EB-5 industry.

Meet Christian

As Chair of Jackson Walker’s Business Immigration & Compliance practice, Christian has strengthened the firm’s capabilities in guiding businesses, individuals, and families through the complex process of obtaining U.S. work visas and permanent resident status. He is particularly experienced in assisting foreign nationals, entrepreneurs, and high-net-worth families worldwide through the EB-5 visa program, preparing and filing I-526 and I-829 petitions for regional centers and direct investors, as well as I-924 applications for regional center designation. Christian also handles E-2 investor visas and L-1 New Office visas for startups in the United States, while advising clients on immigration law compliance in accordance with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and the Department of State.

Christian frequently speaks about business immigration topics in the U.S. and internationally. He is also a prolific writer and has contributed to various publications including EB5 Investor, American Immigration Lawyers Association, Texas Lawbook, and The National Law Review, among others. In addition, he volunteers his time as a member of the EB-5 Investor Committee of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), the Board of Directors of Invest in the USA (IIUSA), and the Immigration Advisory Committee of the Greater Houston Partnership.

In addition to being listed among the “Top 25 Immigration Attorneys” since 2017, Christian has been recognized among The Best Lawyers in America since 2023, as a “Top 50 EB5 Visa Lawyer/Attorney” by Visa Franchise in 2024, and as a “Texas Rising Star” by Super Lawyers in 2022.

 Meet Catharine

Catharine represents foreign nationals and immigrant investors in all aspects of the EB-5 process, including filing I-526E petitions, I-829 petitions, and I-956 regional center applications. Her work involves close collaboration with regional centers, agents, securities attorneys, economists, and business plan writers to help her clients achieve their investment and immigration goals. She has filed hundreds of successful I-526E and I-829 petitions for clients worldwide.

Outside of her practice, Catharine is a member of the AILA and the Asian American Bar Association of Houston, for which she has previously served on the Social Committee and the Diversity and Inclusion Committee.

In addition to being named to EB5 Investors Magazine’s “Top 10 Rising Stars of 2024,” Catharine has been recognized as a “Texas Rising Star” by Super Lawyers since 2018.
