Jackson Walker proudly congratulates Caroline Capili and Baker Howry on their selection to leadership positions within the Houston Young Lawyers Association (HYLA) for the 2024-2025 term. Caroline will serve as a committee member for the HYLA Leadership Academy and co-chair for the HYLA Women Attorneys Committee. Baker will serve as co-chair for the HYLA Leadership Academy and a member of the HYLA Women Attorneys Committee.

The Leadership Academy Committee organizes a leadership program for young lawyers. The committee coordinates the application and selection process for Leadership Fellows and organizes programs that offer members the opportunity to develop their leadership skills while planning and implementing a service project. The Women Lawyers Committee’s goal is to address issues facing female-identifying young lawyers by providing social, networking, wellness, and service programming for its members.

Caroline Capili is an attorney in the Real Estate practice of Jackson Walker’s Houston office. Caroline advises and represents buyers and sellers, developers, landlords, and tenants in all facets of their commercial real estate, including the acquisition, disposition, development, and leasing of multifamily complexes, office and retail space, and undeveloped property. In recognition of her practice, Caroline has been named “Ones to Watch” in the area of Real Estate Law by The Best Lawyers in America.

Baker Howry is an attorney in the Trial & Appellate Litigation practice of Jackson Walker’s Houston office. She focuses her practice on providing comprehensive legal services to a broad spectrum of clients, from large healthcare providers to small family-owned businesses. Baker has experience in a wide range of civil litigation and investigations, including healthcare and securities fraud, breach of contract, first amendment, and other complex commercial litigation matters. In recognition of her practice, Baker has been named “Ones to Watch” in the area of Appellate Practice by The Best Lawyers in America.
