“We are proud to welcome such an accomplished attorney who brings a diverse set of skills and knowledge related to business and immigration law,” Houston Managing Partner Kurt D. Nondorf said. “In combining Christian Triantaphyllis’ international experience with Jackson Walker’s business acumen, we can further expand the services we offer our clients across the board.”

We are proud to welcome such an accomplished attorney who brings a diverse set of skills and knowledge related to business and immigration law.

Drawing from his experience living and working abroad in multiple continents, he is able to build relationships with foreign clients based on trust and understanding. In his approach to service, Christian guides his clients through the demanding EB-5 process and advises on lawful sources of investment funds. He also handles matters pertaining to USCIS, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and U.S. Department of State immigration requirements.

“Jackson Walker is a natural fit for both me and my clients,” Christian said. “As an international attorney, I am pleased to join a Texas-based firm that adds value and high-level resources without sacrificing the depth and breadth of experience needed to maintain a large global presence.”

Building on his background in business and immigration, Christian will advise regional centers and real estate developers in establishing projects nationwide and provide analysis from an immigration law perspective on financing structures.

“Between representing investors from Mexico, Nigeria, and Brazil and building a client base in Asia, Christian brings a wealth of knowledge in international law to the Firm,” said Vytas Petrulis, who leads the real estate practice group in Houston.

Through Jackson Walker’s involvement in Globalaw, one of the world’s top 10 legal networks, Christian will be able to further apply his international experience by collaborating with attorneys from member firms around the world.

In addition to expanding the scope of Jackson Walker’s real estate practice, Christian’s background in finance and lending will add value to the Corporate & Securities practice.

Outside his practice, Christian serves as a member of the American Immigration Lawyers’ Association, the Houston Bar Association, and the National Peace Corps Association. He attended Southern Methodist University and obtained his J.D. from New York Law School.

Also joining the Houston real estate group is Catharine W. Yen, who brings particular experience in foreign investment and immigration matters. In her practice, Catharine corresponds with and counsels individual investors, regional centers, agents, securities attorneys, economists, and business plan writers to help her individual investor clients and regional center clients accomplish their goals.
