Jackson Walker partner Larry Glasgow was honored with the 2024 W. Page Keeton Award at the 20th annual Mergers and Acquisitions Institute hosted by The University of Texas School of Law’s Continuing Legal Education (UT Law CLE).
The W. Page Keeton Award is bestowed upon individuals who have made a profound difference to the profession through a lasting commitment to continuing legal education. This year, Larry and his fellow M&A Institute co-chair, Wilson Chu (McDermott Will & Emery LLP), were named the recipients for their ongoing dedication to the Institute.
Co-founded by Larry in 2004, the M&A Institute is widely regarded as the preeminent private M&A conference in the United States. He continues to co-chair the annual conference that brings leading practitioners and experts in finance, accounting, and law together to analyze and evaluate current M&A trends, opportunities, and concerns.
“I am deeply honored to receive the W. Page Keeton Award,” said Larry. “It is a privilege to have been involved in the co-founding and growth of the M&A Institute. I am equally proud of helping establish the Mergers and Acquisitions Institute for Excellence in Law Scholarship at Texas Law. It is my hope that this scholarship will benefit students, with a focus on M&A, for years to come.”
Gregory J. Smith, JD, Assistant Dean for CLE at Texas Law, remarked, “For the past two decades, Larry has been a consummate advocate for continuing legal education in Texas and nationally as co-chair of the Mergers and Acquisitions Institute and in helping to establish the Mergers and Acquisitions Institute Endowment for Excellence in Law Scholarship at Texas Law. Under his leadership, the Institute has become our most prestigious and successful conference. His perspective and expertise on the issues of the day have helped attorneys in the field improve their practice and professional acumen.”
The 20th annual M&A Institute took place in Dallas, Texas, on October 10-11, 2024. Jackson Walker proudly served as a sponsor of the conference, during which partners Byron F. Egan and Mario Perez Dolan spoke on the new Texas Business Courts and hot topics in private equity M&A.
