Jackson Walker proudly announces Joel Heydenburk has assumed the position of board chairman of the Real Estate Council of Greater Fort Worth (REC of GFW), effective June 25, 2022. Joel succeeds former Fort Worth Mayor Kenneth Barr as chair of the Board of Directors.
In recent years, Fort Worth has experienced significant changes as a result of the pandemic and a huge surge in new residents. As a unified voice for the local commercial real estate community, the REC of GFW has played a role in supporting that growth and helping to improve quality of life in the area.
“Ken Barr has played a transformative role in the Council’s growth. I look forward to building on his momentum and leading the Council in these changing times,” Joel said. “I am particularly honored to follow in the footsteps of my late mentor, Susan Halsey, who helped form the Real Estate Council more than 15 years ago. This is truly a full-circle moment for both me and the Firm, and it’s a great privilege to follow her lead.”
