Jackson Walker partner Willie Hornberger was recently named chairman-elect of the 29,000-member Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA). Mr. Hornberger will serve as chairman from 2013 to 2014.

The TSCPA is a nonprofit, voluntary, professional organization representing Texas CPAs. The mission of the organization is to support its members in their professional endeavors and to promote the value and high standards of Texas CPAs.

Mr. Hornberger is currently on the executive board of the TSCPA. He is also a past chair and board member of the Dallas Chapter of the TSCPA and is a former chair of the Tax Sections of the State Bar of Texas and Dallas Bar Association. Mr. Hornberger practices in the Tax and International sections of Jackson Walker. His tax practice emphasizes transactional and international tax matters and tax controversy issues. He is also a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Hornberger received both his B.B.A. degree, with high honors, and his J.D. degree, with honors, from the University of Texas, and he received his LL.M. in Taxation from New York University. He is fluent in the Spanish language.
