Compared to other law firms with offices in San Antonio, Jackson Walker’s Texas-based attorneys handled more M&A deals in 2017 than any other firm. This information was derived from a recent article that highlighted rankings according to The Texas Lawbook’s 2017 M&A Deal Count By Law Firms list.

The Texas Lawbook maintains a Corporate Deal Tracker database of deals that include mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and private equity/venture capital investments. Each quarter, the publication issues an in-depth report outlining deal activity for the top law firms and attorneys who lead those deals in Texas. Annually, reporters issue a comprehensive ranking based on the quarterly report.

“This top ranking highlights our ability to handle a high volume of sophisticated multimillion-dollar transactions and underscores our practice of partnering with businesses to achieve their goals,” said Stephanie L. Chandler, who chairs the San Antonio Corporate & Securities practice.

Stephanie was also recognized by The Texas Lawbook as one of the top Texas-based women attorneys handling the highest number of M&A deals in 2017, ranking ninth in the state. Stephanie was the only San Antonio woman lawyer on the list. Stephanie has an impressive track record of working with clients from the earliest stages of their development through significant liquidity events, typically in the role of outside general counsel managing the legal issues related to each growth stage.
