Jackson Walker was named a winner for the “Corporate/Strategic Deal of the Year ($25MM – $50MM)” category at the 16th Annual M&A Advisor Awards Gala held in New York in November.
“Since 2002, we have been honoring the leading M&A transactions, companies and dealmakers. Jackson Walker was chosen from over 650 participating companies to receive the award. It gives us great pleasure to recognize Jackson Walker and bestow upon them our highest honor for M&A firms and professionals,” said David Fergusson, Co-CEO and President of The M&A Advisor. “Jackson Walker represents the best of the M&A industry in 2017 and earned these honors by standing out in a group of very impressive candidates.”
“Jackson Walker is proud to receive this honor,” said partner Kevin Jones who represented Prophet Equity and its portfolio company, Apex Environmental LLC, in a series of acquisitions to acquire waste transfer stations and waste-by-rail transload and intermodal facility operations on the East Coast. “These acquisitions helped Apex create a waste disposal ecosystem in the Northeast U.S. by providing Apex with the resources to accept, process, and transport waste by rail from the East Coast to an Ohio-based landfill previously acquired by Apex,” mentioned Jones.
