Len Wade Successfully Represents Specialty Physicians and Their Family Entities in Arbitration

August 7, 2018 | Client Results

Jackson Walker partner Len A. Wade served as lead counsel for three specialty physicians and their family entities in a two-week American Health Lawyers Association arbitration, asserting contractual claims, fraud claims, and claims for breach of fiduciary duty. Assisting Len in the arbitration was Arlington litigation attorney David G. Gamble.

The arbitration panel awarded the Jackson Walker clients over $2 million in actual damages, ordered the opposing physician group to reimburse the clients over $1 million in attorney’s fees (100 percent of the requested fees), confirmed the clients’ continued ownership interests in the most valuable practice entities, and denied the opposing side’s request for a “business divorce,” which would have resulted in a much less favorable outcome for the clients.

This successful representation demonstrates Jackson Walker’s experience in alternative dispute resolutions and in serving healthcare clients around the U.S.
