Mike Pearson, Amy Baird Participate in 3rd Midstream Oil and Gas Law Conference

The event was presented by the Institute for Energy Law (IEL) of The Center for American and International Law and co-chaired by Mr. Pearson, Mark R. Haskell of Morgan Lewis & Bockius, and Susan Miller, Senior Counsel at Marathon Oil Company. Highlights of the conference included a keynote address by Christi Craddick, Chairman of the Texas Railroad Commission, as well as sessions on LNG & NGL export issues, environmental challenges for midstream, offshore midstream gas development, and more.

Mr. Pearson has practiced in the areas of oil and gas and energy law since 1978. His clients include numerous Texas-based, national, and international energy companies and financial institutions. Mr. Pearson currently serves as co-chair of Jackson Walker’s Energy practice group. During his more than 35 years in practice, Mr. Pearson has advised clients in a broad range of upstream, midstream, commodity marketing, and financing matters.

Ms. Baird represents clients in the energy industry. Her experience includes the legal representation of interstate and intrastate natural gas pipelines, liquids and crude oil pipelines, natural gas gatherers, natural gas processors, gas marketers, natural gas storage operators, oil and gas producers, electric utilities, merchant power plants, power marketers, local distribution companies, municipally-owned gas and power distributors, industrial gas and power users, alumina and chemical manufacturers; gathering facilities, cogeneration facilities, and utility regulators.
