Jackson Walker successfully represented Prophet Equity and its portfolio company Apex Environmental Resources Holdings II LLC in a merger with The Action Environmental Group, Inc. The merged Apex-Action company will operate under the Interstate Waste Services (IWS) brand as one of the largest integrated solid waste companies in the largest waste market in the United States.

In October 2015, Prophet completed its initial investment in the Apex Environmental platform with the purchase of the Apexâs solid waste landfill in eastern Ohio and its local transfer station. Under Prophetâs ownership, Apex has completed five acquisitions and expanded permitted landfill capacity approximately tenfold.
