Jackson Walker helped the Dallas Regional Chamber successfully negotiate a lease for its new office location in the Lincoln Plaza tower on Akard Street. The Chamber recently announced that it will move this fall to Lincoln Plaza from its current location in the Plaza of the Americas on Pearl Street, where it has had operations for the past 10 years.

The Chamber will occupy Lincoln Plaza’s 26th floor, which includes approximately 25,000 square feet and 180-degree views of the city to the north, east, and west. Chamber officials said the move will help the Chamber accommodate the needs of its visitors and employees and showcase the city’s amenities.

“This is really a good move for the Chamber because it will allow us to tell the story of Dallas more effectively,” said Pat Priest, Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer for the Dallas Regional Chamber.

Jackson Walker attorneys David Moran and Wayne Malecha represented the Chamber in leasing negotiations. The team’s deep knowledge of the downtown leasing market and previous experience with the landlord enabled Jackson Walker to complete the deal efficiently and obtain an excellent result for its client.

“Jackson Walker added a tremendous amount of value for us,” said Ms. Priest. “David Moran served on our building committee and helped us in thinking about how the Chamber should present itself in the future and the type of space that would help us do that. Once we made the decision, Wayne Malecha stepped in and helped with our lease negotiations. His depth of office leasing expertise coupled with his prior experience at Lincoln Plaza enabled us to reach an agreement on favorable terms quickly and smoothly.”
