Jackson Walker partner Richard Roth spoke at the Energy Joint Ventures Conference on September 22â23, 2014, in Houston, Texas.
Mr. Roth’s presentation, “Specific Issues in Joint Venture Agreements,” discussed deadlock resolution, dispute resolution, amendments, and more. The Energy Joint Ventures Conference provides comprehensive inâdepth training for those in the energy sector who are involved in developing, owning or financing operating assets or activities in a multiâowner context, with a special focus on the oil and gas industry.
Mr. Roth’s primary areas of practice are securities offerings, corporate finance transactions and mergers and acquisitions, including tender and exchange offers. Mr. Roth has been involved in numerous financing transactions through the representation of issuers and underwriting firms in public and private debt and equity offerings. He began his career in the Division of Corporation Finance at the Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C., and previously practiced with a multinational firm in its Houston and New York offices. He received his J.D. from the University of Tulsa College of Law and his LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center.
