Jackson Walker partner Joshua A. Romero has been elected president of the Hispanic Bar Association of Austin (HBAA). On Tuesday, January 23, he was sworn in by Judge Cantu Hexsel, along with fellow HBAA board members, at the new Travis County Court facility.
The Hispanic Bar Association of Austin is a nonprofit professional organization for Hispanic American legal professionals in Central Texas. As president, Josh will collaborate with board members to advance public service initiatives aimed at enhancing and supporting the Austin Latinx community.
Josh is a trial lawyer focused on complex commercial litigation and First Amendment litigation. He has successfully handled cases spanning multimillion-dollar corporate disputes, consumer fraud, and construction cases. He played a pivotal role in securing the largest settlement in Texas and the fourth largest in the United States, as highlighted in the National Law Journal.
