Josh Romero Appointed to State Bar of Texas Court Rules Committee

Josh Romero has been appointed to the State Bar of Texas Court Rules Committee for the 2021-2022 Bar year.

Created in 1941, the Court Rules Committee considers new rules or revisions to existing rules for the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and the state’s various statutes to ensure fairness for litigants and judges and to reduce the cost of litigation.

Joshua A. Romero is a trial and appellate lawyer who has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal courts across the country in complex commercial litigation, bad-faith insurance claims, trade secret cases, whistleblower and qui tam cases, and First Amendment litigation. In 2015, he assisted his clients in obtaining the largest settlement in Texas and the fourth largest settlement in the United States, as featured in The National Law Journal. He has presented oral argument at the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and has handled appeals in the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth and Fifth Circuits, the Texas Supreme Court, and appellate courts across Texas.
