David Schlottman to Discuss Workplace Retaliation at EEOC Training Institute

Jackson Walker partner David Schlottman is scheduled to present at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) Training Institute on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at The Hurst Conference Center in Hurst, Texas.

David’s presentation, titled “Retaliation: Why Poke the Bear?,” will provide an in-depth discussion on unlawful workplace retaliation under a variety of employment statutes. He will cover legal standards, affirmative defenses, and best practices for employers to avoid claims.

The training program will cover the latest EEOC developments, including the Final Regulation on the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA) and the EEOC’s Comprehensive Enforcement Guidance on Workplace Harassment. This workshop will offer compliance tips for navigating EEOC investigations and implementing effective strategies to address workplace harassment, bullying, and retaliation.

Meet David

David Schlottman handles complex cases involving employees, the workplace, and related business disputes. He has wide-ranging experience related to wage-and-hour issues, employee competition, theft of trade secrets, contract claims, compensation disputes, employment discrimination and retaliation, and union-related disputes. David serves on the leadership council for the State Bar of Texas Labor and Employment Law Section, and he is currently the Chair of the Labor & Employment Law Section of the Dallas Bar Association.
