Jackson Walker congratulates partners Timothy C. Taylor and Pamela Madere for their appointments to leadership positions on the 2024 Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Real Estate Council of Austin (RECA). Pam will serve as Secretary/Counsel, and Tim will serve as Vice Chair of Community Engagement.

Pam, a former chair of RECA, has recently been honored with the 2023 Gary S. Farmer Commendation of Excellence Award, the highest accolade by RECA in recognition of outstanding contributions to the commercial real estate industry. Tim has been actively involved with RECA since 1995, serving on the Board of Directors for two decades before returning to the Board in 2023. Tim served as Chair of RECA in 2003, and he received the Commendation of Excellence Award in 2007, the Gary S. Farmer Commendation of Excellence Award in 2011, and the Community Service Award in 2016.

For over 30 years, RECA has been a preeminent professional group for commercial real estate in Central Texas. RECA members engage in networking and learning opportunities, and RECA and its leaders and members directly influence policy decisions impacting development in Austin and the region with an emphasis on improving the quality of life for all citizens.

Tim Taylor’s practice focuses on Real Estate and lending transactions, representing clients from acquisition and development to ownership, leasing, management, and subdivision and disposition. Tim also helps clients with land acquisition and development, working with local governments on land use and development issues. Since 2012, he has been selected for inclusion in the prestigious Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business – Real Estate Guide and as a Best Lawyer in America, Real Estate Law for over 15 years. He is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Commercial Real Estate Law and Residential Real Estate Law.

Real estate and land use attorney Pamela Madere develops strategies for clients navigating economic incentive agreements, real estate contracts, zoning, subdivisions, site plans, development permits, development agreements, easements, condemnation, Municipal Utility Districts, environmental matters, water and wastewater regulations, and traffic issues. Pam is Vice Chair of the Central Texas Public Safety Commission, Past President of the Central Texas Commercial Association of Realtors, and Past President of the Texas Association of Defense Counsel.
