Biography
Amanda L. Neinast regularly assists clients with creating, implementing, and modifying estate plans that accomplish their personal goals and key objectives while creatively working to preserve their estate through the maximization of credits and exemptions under federal estate and gift tax laws. Amanda also advises clients in lawful asset protection techniques, including the formation and administration of business entities to provide for asset management and to simplify succession issues. Additionally, Amanda counsels clients on capacity planning before the need arises and advises clients regarding Supplemental Needs Trusts for incapacitated family members. Amanda is devoted to building strong, long-term working relationships with her clients and their professional advisors.
A noteworthy portion of Amanda’s practice is devoted to advising owners of mineral interests regarding transfer techniques designed to avoid further fractionalization of interests. Amanda also counsels fiduciaries seeking to perfect the chain of title for mineral interests during the probate administration process and properly document lifetime and testamentary transfers.
Prior to joining Jackson Walker, Amanda served as Assistant In-House Counsel for a land brokerage firm located in Midland, Texas, where she served as outside counsel for local and national oil and gas companies to ensure the title of their mineral and surface estates was accurate and marketable prior to commencement of drilling operations. Additionally, Amanda generated due diligence reports for clients prior to an acquisition or divestiture of oil and gas assets.
