Biography
Amanda Van Deusen is a Certified Professional Landman in the energy group of Jackson Walker’s Houston office with over 17 years’ experience as a Landman in acquisition due diligence and energy finance projects with upstream and midstream asset evaluation, as well as real estate transactions. Amanda’s work focuses on title examination, reserve evaluation in energy finance transactions, contract and lien analysis, document preparation, and multi-jurisdictional filing projects for clients across the energy, real estate, and renewable industries. Amanda has executed due diligence programs for multi-billion dollar credit facilities and acquisitions by large exploration and production companies or non-operators (foreign and domestic) related to producing properties and undeveloped leaseholds.
Amanda is also experienced in evaluation, due diligence and management of bankruptcy assets, real estate transactions, renewable energy and water projects, and multi-county foreclosures.
Prior to joining Jackson Walker, Amanda worked as a Professional Landman at an international corporate law firm, and in-house as a Senior Landman for various energy and land management companies.

- Conduct title due diligence on multiple $100 million or more credit facilities for first and second lien creditors.
- Represent, manage and conduct title for private and public exploration and production companies in the sale and acquisition of oil and gas properties throughout the United States.
- Evaluate and track secured assets for first and second lien holders in Ch. 11 bankruptcies.
- Acquisition Due Diligence, document management, and filing of multiple oil and gas transactions ranging from $10-400 million.
- Conduct research, manage data, and draft documents on behalf of an affiliate of Berkshire Hathaway Energy in its development efforts to construct up to 10 new gas-fired electric power plants across Texas for emergency use by as soon as November 2023.
- Assist with asset management, document preparation, and filing of significant assets for disposition ranging from $20-500 million.
- Conduct energy lending due diligence of multiple loans for restructuring on behalf of oil and gas producers ranging from $20-250 million.
- Conduct energy lending due diligence, encumbrance research, and filing of various loan documents for dozens of secured and unsecured credit facilities involving E&P borrowers ranging in value from $250,000 to over $400 million.
