Biography
Blake Dietrich has a versatile practice that encompasses all aspects of litigation and intellectual property law, from helping clients secure patent, trademark, and copyright protection to enforcing and defending those rights through litigation. Blake has litigated matters ranging from representing Fortune 500 companies in nationally-recognized cases to “bet-the-company” litigation between competitors involved in highly-contentious disputes.
Blake has appeared in well over 100 federal and state court cases spanning across the country including Texas, California, Delaware, New York, Illinois, Georgia and Florida. Blake has coordinated everything from pre-suit resolutions, to securing injunctions against competitors, to having successful jury verdicts upheld by appellate courts. Blake has repeatedly been recognized as one of the 500 Leading Litigators in America based on his passionate advocacy and desire to get the best possible results for his clients.
In addition to his experience in the courtroom, Blake is admitted before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and has prepared and prosecuted many dozens of patent and trademark applications. Blake has also handled numerous inter partes review proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeals Board. He has experience in a wide range of technologies and industry sectors, including computer hardware and software, IT & telecommunications, printing press operation, electrochemical processes, industrial machinery, and automotive technology.
His educational background in Applied Science and Technology, combined with the broad–based experience he has gained in his legal practice gives him deep insight into clients’ complex technologies, enabling him to develop effective strategies to protect his clients’ interests. He engages with technical experts in a variety of fields, allowing him to effectively navigate both engineering labs and boardrooms.
