Biography
Heather Waters is an attorney in the Energy practice of Jackson Walker’s Houston office. Her practice focuses primarily on mergers and acquisitions and commercial transactions in the energy sector, particularly in the upstream and midstream oil and gas and renewable industries. She has experience with the trading and marketing of environmental attributes and NAESB Master Agreements and related documents.
Heather believes in taking a proactive approach and works with each client to accomplish business objectives in an efficient and through manner. Her previous experience as an in-house labor relations counselor at a leading global energy company provides unique perspective and insight into the needs of companies, allowing her to better tailor her approach. During her time as a labor relations counselor, she provided counsel on all aspects of the NLRA and handled general labor relations matters, arbitrations, employee relations investigations, and the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements.
Heather previously served as an intern for U.S. District Judge Sim Lake of the Southern District of Texas. She also participated at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office’s Trademark Clinic while in law school and was a pupil for the Honorable Nancy F. Atlas Intellectual Property American Inn of Court.
