Biography
John Stevenson handles real estate transactions in Texas and across the United States, with an emphasis on real estate development, acquisition and disposition, and various corporate real estate matters.
John represents various clients, including residential and commercial developers, home builders, institutional investors, family offices, publicly traded companies, and individual sellers, across multiply asset classes and property types, including multifamily and built-to-rent, master planned communities, raw land, farm and ranch, data centers, distribution facilities and other industrial properties. Additionally, John has extensive experience representing both limited partners and sponsors in real estate joint venture matters, ranging from single asset investments to the formation and representation of joint ventures engaged in large scale property portfolio acquisitions and dispositions.
As part of his practice, John represents landlords and tenants in retail, office and ground lease transactions, and borrowers in various real estate financing transactions. He routinely prepares and negotiates partnership and LLC agreements for investment and asset protection purposes and advises clients regarding entity formation, investment, and structuring. He uses his experience to thoughtfully and practically guide clients in complex transactions as well as day-to-day operations and is adept at identifying deal-specific risks.
