Additionally, Lee offers guidance on IP transactional and litigation issues related to domain names, publicity rights, branded entertainment, digital rights, marketing and advertising campaigns, and software. Lee has previously been retained as an expert witness in trademark disputes, providing critical analysis and insights. His extensive experience in intellectual property law positions him to be a key resource in navigating the complexities of these cases. Lee has represented and provided counsel to clients across diverse industries, including media and entertainment, technology, retail, food and beverage, real estate, and education.
Before embarking on his legal career, Lee served nearly eight years as a sworn officer with the Houston Police Department. He also advises on state liquor laws, license renewals, zoning, and TABC regulations to ensure smooth operations within the industry.
Lee currently serves as an adjunct professor of law at the University of Houston Law Center and Texas A&M School of Law. His commitment to the legal community extends to his work as a trained mediator, providing volunteer mediation services with various non-profit organizations throughout Texas.
Prior to joining Jackson Walker, Lee served as a law clerk to the Honorable Eva M. Guzman at the Supreme Court of Texas and trademark examining attorney at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) in Alexandria, Virginia.
