Biography
Maha Ghyas is an attorney in the Bankruptcy, Restructuring, & Recovery practice group of Jackson Walker’s Houston office. She was a summer associate with the Firm in 2022.
Before joining Jackson Walker, Maha graduated summa cum laude from South Texas College of Law Houston, where she was on the board of the South Texas Law Review and an advocate in the Moot Court, Mock Trial and Alternate Dispute Resolution programs. As a result of her success in the Advocacy Program, Maha was inducted into the Order of the Barristers, the Order of the Scribes, and received the Dean’s Student Advocacy Award. She also served as a student teacher for Contracts and Criminal Law.
Maha served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Jennifer Walker Elrod (U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit), the Honorable Alfred Bennett (Southern District of Texas), and the Honorable Frances Stacy (Southern District of Texas).
