Biography
Randal S. Farber practices primarily in the real estate, construction, finance, loan workout and general business areas.
In the real estate area, Randal has represented purchasers and sellers of commercial and residential properties including office buildings, apartment complexes, and shopping centers; developers of commercial and residential properties including the negotiation and preparation of construction contracts and contracts with architects; lenders and borrowers in loan workouts and foreclosures; landlords and tenants in commercial, residential, and ground leases; and community associations in connection with the creation and amendment of deed restrictions, deed restriction enforcement, and general corporate matters. In addition to practicing real estate law, Randal has taught real estate courses for real estate agents and brokers at Houston Community College.
Randalâs experience in finance includes the representation of financial institutions in connection with real estate based loans, (including single property loans, multi-property loans, and subdivision based loans), asset based loans, and general commercial loans. He also represents borrowers in connection with operating loans and loans secured by real estate.
In the general business area, Randal has advised small and medium sized companies in their day to day operations and the interplay of their strategic legal decisions with their business decisions. He has also represented several clients in the purchase and sale of multi-million dollar companies. Additionally, Randal had advised entrepreneurs concerning the advantages and disadvantages of utilizing different forms of business entities, including corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies.
Randal has also utilized his writing and analytical skills by assisting in several complex litigation matters that resulted in his preparing appellate briefs filed before the United States Fifth Circuit and Eleventh Circuit.
Before becoming an attorney, Randal was a Certified Systems Professional and Certified Data Processor for over a decade, as well as a licensed Real Estate Broker. He utilizes his computer skills and real estate background to represent clients efficiently and effectively.
